Frequently asked questions

What should I bring to my appointment?

Photo ID (driver's licence or passport), your Medicare card if available, glasses/hearing aids if you use them, and a list of current medications. Fasting is not required unless your booking confirmation says otherwise.

How long does a medical take?

A comprehensive pre-employment medical takes about 2 hours. Rideshare/commercial driver medicals take about 1 hour. Your booking confirmation shows the exact duration.

Do I need to complete the health questionnaire before arriving?

Yes please — it's assigned the moment your booking is made and saves automatically as you type. Completing it beforehand keeps your visit on schedule. If you can't, arrive 15 minutes early to complete it at the front desk.

When do results come through?

Most assessments are certified within 1–3 business days. Tests requiring external pathology (e.g. LabDAS) add courier and lab time. Your employer (or you, for self-paid bookings) is notified the moment the certificate is issued.

Who sees my results?

Your clinical information is only accessible to the clinic team and the reviewing doctor. For employer-arranged screenings, the fitness-for-work certificate goes to your employer's representative; the full clinical file never leaves the clinic. Every access is audit-logged.

Can I have my data deleted?

Yes. In your profile under 'Privacy & your data' you can request deletion — only you can (identity verified with your password). Each clinical record is legally retained for 7 years from its assessment date and is permanently deleted as it expires.

What if I need to reschedule?

Contact the clinic as early as possible. Employer-arranged bookings can also be rescheduled by your HR representative.
